Alas, Holiday Fic #6 has been delayed. I've spent the last two mornings running around getting last minute Christmas stuff done, and while I've managed to get my 'required' 500 words written each night before work, I haven't had enough time to actually complete anything else. Even the drabble I attempted turned into a monstrosity! Ah well, that's why they're called "Holiday Fic" and not "Christmas Fic", right? I have until New Years Eve to complete them. :) Wiggle room, people!

Mom had her last test at hospital before Christmas yesterday (a CT scan), so now we're all trying to relax and enjoy Christmas and New Year, before she has to go back in for her exploratory under general anesthetic. We are going to enjoy Christmas/New Year if it kills us!

trillingstar later made me laugh out loud when she said that my tone was along the lines of 'please accept my humble offering' and has now changed to 'read this and like it, bitch'. Hee!)

Holiday Fic #1
Happy Holidays! This year, I really wanted to do something to say Thank You to some of the special people who have enriched my life. All I have to offer is fiction. So over the next few days leading up to Christmas or maybe the New Year, I'll be sharing a few stories that I've written as little holiday gifts.

The first story is dedicated to

ozsaur. When I first started chatting with some Oz fans, the one name that constantly came up in conversation was

ozsaur. When I finally met up with her on IM, I understood why. She is an enthusiastic cheerleader and a leader in keeping the fandom active. Now I look forward to our regular morning chats, whether we're talking about our families, analyzing Toby's relationships, or brainstorming about fanfic. :)

This story is actually something she mentioned wanting to read, though she's probably forgotten all about it now!

Tony Goldwyn joins Broadway's 'Promises, Promises'

NEW YORK (AP) -- Tony Goldwyn is being added to the cast of the upcoming Broadway revival of "Promises, Promises," opening next spring.

Producer John Gore says Goldwyn will join Sean Hayes and Kristin Chenoweth in the musical, which is based on the Academy Award-winning movie "The Apartment." Previews begin March 27 at the Broadway Theatre, with an opening set for April 25.

"Promises, Promises" features a book by Neil Simon and a score by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. The musical will be directed and choreographed by Rob Ashford.

Goldwyn is best known for the movie "Ghost" and has directed such television series as "Dexter," "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice."

So, my subject line just reminded me of "Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy", that old SNL thing. My friend Mike and I used to get pretty hysterical remembering them. My favourite was this one:

I'm excited for you guys who are going to see Gale in L.A. for his play. I wouldn't even consider it for myself -- too far, too much money to get/stay there, and one other reason that I won't name for fear of alienating the Gale fans on my flist. But I hope you guys all have a great time, and write up some decent fan reports for us left behind!

And (almost) lastly: Chris Meloni is going to be appearing on Celebrity Jeopardy tonight! It took me AGES to track down which channel now airs the show, but you can bet I'll be watching. Lee last night and the Meloni tonight. It's SUCH a good week!

Oh, and I saw this random Adam Lambert clip of his appearance on So You Think You Can Dance. Um... who told him that it was a good idea to put a big clump of plastic poop on his shoulder?

My students are turning in their final research projects, so I'm
busy grading.

I know some of you are interested in what they're writing, so I
thought I'd list a few of the article subjects. They have to

write up and outline, then drafts, and finish up with a 10-12
